In the last CES 2014 3D system company unveiled their 3D printed food
machine. Then many experts criticized about the practical use of this 3D
printed food machine. But the 3D company clarified that they do not aim to
target regular customer.
In-fact their main target is toward professional chocolatiers and confectioners. After couple of days later of CES, 3D system company announced Hershey Company as their partner to develop innovative 3D printed food. They sign a multi-year agreement where they will serve 3D printed food to the consumer for the next couple of years.
Hershey Company will be the first large food company that jump on the 3D printed confection bandwagon. The 3D system company will gain lot from this agreement. The 3D system company will hand over its product like chefJet to the largest chocolate producer in North America. They are very hopeful about the success of this 3D printed food. The hershey Company working with 3D company to find out the best ways of delivering food to the consumer. Hershey could gain the name recognition as the first 3D printing confectioners if the consumer accepts this food.
We have already seen many other kind of printed chocolate in the past but this time it will be more taste and well designed.
